3 days in Kyoto and I and the bike survived (surprisingly)
Second day on the bike in Kyoto and I’m already losing my patience. Yesterday I spent most of my time on the roads, so I didn’t notice:
Kyoto (called Kyoto in English) is one of Japan’s largest cities – it has historical value not only because it used to be the capital of Japan, but also because of the tea areas in the prefecture of the same name. Very close to Kyoto (almost part of it) is the world-famous Uji area, where the finest Japanese leaf – Gyokuro – is grown.
