Tea spirit

As a tea spirit we usually refer to a small statue or figure made of ceramic or porcelain, which is poured with the leftover tea from a teapot or a slip during the tea ceremony and thus worshipped.

The individual tea spirits correspond to mythical creatures from Chinese myths – Pixiu the Dog, the Three-Legged Frog of Plenty, … and others. Each has an origin story and also a different benefit for tea lovers worshipping.
